A pergola is an open, semi-shaded outdoor structure — vertical posts supporting a roof of horizontal beams or slats — used to define and shade a seating, dining or lounging area without fully enclosing it. Unlike a gazebo, a pergola’s roof is generally open or slatted, letting in filtered light rather than blocking it completely.
Not all pergola materials perform the same way in Indian conditions — humidity, direct UV exposure and monsoon rain each place different demands on the structure. Anika Global designs and installs three pergola systems engineered for these conditions, for private terraces, garden retreats, poolside lounges, cafés, hotels and resorts.

The Hybrid Pergola pairs a mild-steel (MS) structural frame with timber cladding — giving you the warm, natural look of wood over a core that resists warping, sagging and long-term structural fatigue better than solid timber alone. It’s the choice for anyone who wants the wooden aesthetic with a longer structural lifespan and less maintenance risk. Best suited to villas, terraces and gardens where durability matters as much as appearance.

A pergola typically has an open or slatted roof and is often attached to a wall or used to cover a walkway or patio, providing filtered shade. A gazebo is usually a fully-roofed, freestanding structure designed as a standalone destination for sitting or gathering.
Anika Global's wooden pergolas use timber treated for heat, water and termite resistance, and are installed with drainage and finishing details suited to monsoon exposure. For the highest durability in very high-rainfall or coastal locations, a Hybrid or MS pergola may be a better fit.
Pricing depends on size, material (Wooden, Hybrid or MS), roof style and site conditions. ₹800-₹2000 per sq ft for each material type. Share your area and location for an exact quote.
With proper installation and routine maintenance, a wooden pergola typically lasts several years before refinishing is needed, while Hybrid and MS pergolas, with their steel core, generally offer a longer structural lifespan with less upkeep.
