NaMo Grand Central Park, Thane: International-Themed Gazebos & Pergola
Anika Global contributed to the landscape of NaMo Grand Central Park, Thane, by creating a collection of distinctive outdoor structures inspired by international architectural themes. The project features three bespoke structures—a Chinese Gazebo, Japanese Gazebo, and Moroccan Pergola—each designed to complement the park’s diverse themed environments.
Spread across 25 acres, NaMo Grand Central Park is an international-standard urban destination that brings together gardens inspired by different cultures, sustainable ecological spaces, and recreational landscapes. Our work adds architectural character to these themed spaces, bringing their individual design identities to life.
Project Overview
NaMo Grand Central Park is envisioned as an urban oasis where landscape design, cultural themes, and recreational experiences come together. To complement its international-themed gardens, Anika Global undertook the creation of three distinctive outdoor structures inspired by Chinese, Japanese, and Moroccan design aesthetics.
Each structure required a unique design interpretation to reflect its respective architectural identity while becoming an integral part of the park’s overall landscape.
Scope of Work
Chinese Gazebo: A custom-designed gazebo inspired by traditional Chinese architectural aesthetics, created to complement the park’s Chinese-themed landscape.
Japanese Gazebo: A distinctive outdoor structure reflecting Japanese-inspired design elements, bringing a sense of architectural harmony to the themed garden.
Moroccan Pergola: A bespoke pergola inspired by Moroccan architectural character, adding a distinctive visual element to the park’s international-themed environment.
Design Approach
The design approach focused on translating three distinct international architectural styles into outdoor structures that complement their respective themed landscapes.
Rather than following a standard gazebo or pergola design, each structure was approached as an individual architectural feature. From the traditional inspiration of Chinese and Japanese gazebos to the distinctive character of the Moroccan pergola, the designs were developed to maintain the visual identity of each theme.
The emphasis was on design detailing, architectural consistency, and seamless integration with the surrounding landscape.
